I first wrote my debut book "Jane Finds a Friend" when I was only 7 years old and living in the middle of the Australian bush.

The dream is to become a full-time author but I currently teach English to both children and adults which enables me to share my love of reading and writing with others. I plan on writing many, many future books in both the Jane series and other series.

When I'm not working or writing, I have numerous other hobbies that keep me entertained. I have a passion for all forms of art and while I may not be very good at some of them, I'm always willing to give it a try. One of my artistic pursuits is diamond art, which is showcased here on my website. 

Other hobbies include horse riding, which is an exercise in both conquering your fears and perseverance, sword fighting (self-explanatory) and copious amounts of reading. 

I also have an interest in ancient history, so will have discussions on my blog about various historical topics, as well as horse riding, swords and book related topics. 

All in all, C. Jay Loren is a place for me to share my passions  and to, of course, share the lessons of my character Jane the Snake who is very dear to my heart.
